Bellevue College softball lost two games at the NWAC Championships in Portland, OR, falling 10-5 to Walla Walla before losing 10-0 to Columbia Basin in elimination play. The Bulldogs started off with a bang, scoring in the first inning in their opener against Walla Walla. Hallie Sehlin’s single scored Anna Fowler to give BC an early 1-0 lead. Bellevue’s bats were hot in the second as well as Preslie Jensen doubled and Fowler singled home two for a four run inning. The Bulldogs could not hold on pitching-wise and defensively though as the Warriors put up all 10 runs in the first three innings as the ‘dogs lost steam midway through the game.
In game to, Bellevue was put in a tough spot having to face second-ranked Columbia Basin, who earlier in the day came in with a 24-0 league record and 40-2 overall record but were upset by Olympic. The Bulldogs, now having to face one of the top teams in the tourney, were overmatched in the shutout as BC managed just one hit in the entire game.
Bellevue finished the 2025 season with an impressive 29-15 record.
