Volleyball Continues Undefeated Streak

Bellevue College volleyball continued their near flawless start to the 2025 season, running their overall record to 17-0 by winning in straight sets through four matches this weekend at the East Region Crossover.

Belleuve had sweeps on Fri. Sept. 12 over Clackamas and Pierce. In the tourney opener, BC won with identical scores of 25-20 across all three sets. Liv Deckard had 21 digs as Bellevue also dominated at the serve line with 10 aces. Karisa Martin had nine kills for the ‘dogs. In match two vs. Pierce, Kiana Cueto had the hot hand for Bellevue with 10 kills and hit a scorching .667 for the match with no hitting errors. Martin was also error-free with seven kills. The two aided BC to .462 hitting mark for the match.

On Sat. Sept. 13, BC swept Wenatchee Valley before topping SW Oregon to close out the tourney. In the Wenatchee Valley opener, Bellevue used the entire roster in a balanced effort as Ava Nowak led the defensive efforts with 14 digs while newcomer freshman Kylee Jackson came off the bench and contributed nine digs. In the nightcap, Gillian Merhoff led the ‘dogs with an all around effort with eight kills, five digs, and four block assists up front.

The Bulldogs continue their torrid run through NWAC play with a Wed. Sept. 17 match at home vs. Tacoma at 7 p.m.
