
Bellevue College women’s soccer took control early and used strong defense to defeat Skagit Valley 2-0 at home. The Bulldogs scored twice in the first half as freshman Kiara Scheidt scored off an assist from Malia Brown at 27:55. Brown then scored a solo goal at 30:46. Skagit Valley had their chance with two attempts in the final minutes before halftime but Paige Boyce came through for the ‘dogs with two saves. Bellevue was able to fire off six shots in the first half and outshot the Cardinals 9-2.
Boyce recorded the shutout in the box for the ‘dogs. The Bulldogs are 1-0-2 in North Region play and 1-1-3 overall. Bellevue travels to Shoreline this Wed. Sept. 24 for a 2:15 p.m.
