Bellevue College women’s soccer lost 2-0 at Skagit Valley College in a pivotal North Region matchup with playoff berths on the line. The 2-0 loss was a flip of the win by Bellevue by the same score earlier in the season on Sept. 20.
The Bulldogs fell behind in the first half 2-0 on consecutive goals by Skagit Valley’s Taegan Saragosa-Deoc at 21:19 and 30:54. The early hole Bellevue was in ended up being enough to decide the outcome. The ‘dogs managed just two shots in the second half after multiple opportunities did not go Bellevue’s way in the first half.
Four attempts by BC, one by Jacqueline Strivens, and three by Oteta Kitiona were saved by Skagit ‘keeper Jade Relkoff. Kitiona and Sarai Perdomo had chances in the second half but could not convert as the Bulldogs dropped into third place at 5-2-2 while Skagit Valley moves into second at 6-3-1.
Bellevue hosts Shoreline this Wed. Oct. 22 at 4:15 p.m.
