
Bellevue College men’s soccer got back on the winning track with a 3-1 win at home over Shoreline. Bellevue broke a 1-1 at halftime with a breakout second half as the Bulldogs scored two late goals with less than 10 minutes remaining for the win. Benjamin Huller scored on an assist by Hongfan Wei at 80:34 before BC’s Nick Sharp put the game away with a solo goal on the next Bellevue possession.
Bellevue was in control early on, firing off shots non-stop with seven in the first half. Kingston Darcy and Yegor Tarasov had chances early on within the first 10 minutes of the game but couldn’t connect. Roman Bogutskyi finally got BC on the board at 33:00 on a solo shot. The Dolphins kept it close with a goal just minutes before halftime as the teams ended the first 45 minutes of play tied 1-1.
Bellevue is now 4-5-1 (6-5-1 overall) and are hanging on to third place in the competitive North Region. With two games to go in the regular season, the current third-place Bulldogs must finish in the top four to qualify for post-season play. The Bulldogs host Everett in their final regular season home game this Sat. Oct. 25 at noon.
