Bellevue College men’s basketball won their home opener with an 81-59 win over South Puget Sound at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs used a 57 to 31% shooting percentage to outdo the Clippers.

The Bulldogs jumped out early 16-6 on a layup by Daniel Kabamba. Isaiah White extended it to 19-6 with a three-pointer. From that point onward the Bulldogs maintained control in the comfortable win.

Bellevue’s depth was also on display as BC’s non-starters outscored South Puget Sound 37-16. Leading the way off the bench was Josiah Johnson who was six-for-eight from the field. Kabamba was six-for-seven as Caden Culver was as third threat off the bench shooting four-for-six as the three combined for a lights out 76% shooting clip.

White led the ‘dogs with 20 points while Will Woodward yanked down seven rebounds, including four on the offensive side.

Bellevue moves to 3-2 and will take the Thanksgiving weekend off before entertaining Highline at home on Tue. Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.
