After building up a commanding 40-24 lead over Lower Columbia, Bellevue College women’s basketball could not hold on, falling 76-68 on Sat. Dec. 13 at the NWAC Crossover Tourney hosted by Linn-Benton.
Bellevue was outscored 52-28 in the second half in a reversal of offensive dominance from the first half as the Red Devils were eight-for-13 from the field and eight-for-12 from the line for 26 fourth quarter points. The ‘dogs had a balanced scoring attack as Shannel Kovalsky, DeAndrea Woods-Singleton, and Leeschelle Sohappy had 15, 14, and 11 points respectively. Marcussen pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds and had four assists.
