Softball Plates Whopping 52 Runs In Sweep

Bellevue College softball had a feast buffet offensively this weekend plating 52 runs in a sweep over host Highline, winning 24-6 and 28-5.

In game one, Bellevue wasted no time putting up 9 runs in the first inning. Shannon Tierney had 4 hits and 4 RBI’s while Abby Watkins had 3 hits and 4 runs scored. Maddie Zimprich had 5 RBI’s as did Maddie Repp. Allie Barashkoff had 3 RBI’s in a well-balanced offensive effort up and down the order.

In game two, the ‘dogs had to work a little harder, up only 5-4 after two innings before erupting for 7 runs in the third inning, 11 in the fourth, and another 5 in the fifth. Watkins, Zimprich, and Ella Singer all had 4 RBI’s while Ava Jeretzky had 4 hits.

The Bulldogs are 4-0 in league play and 12-6 overall. They travel to Pierce this Sun. Mar. 29 at noon for a first pitch.
