Bellevue College men’s golf held on after building a huge 13 stroke lead to win the SW Oregon League Match held at Bandon Crossings GC. The Bulldogs, who shot a stellar +1 as a team on day one on Mon. Apr. 13 was able to hold off Skagit Valley, Spokane, and Columbia Basin, who all outscored BC on day two to still win by 9 strokes.
Kai Lambro shot even par for the tourney firing rounds of 70-74 to take home medalist honors by five strokes over teammate Isaac Elaimy who finished second in the field of 54 with a two-day total of +5 shooting 71-78. Henry Mills finished fifth overall at +9 while Jackson Kokich rounded out BC’s scoring with a two-day total of +12 (75-81).
Although the Bulldogs did not fare as well on day two, the comfortable margin after posting stellar rounds after day one were more than enough to preserve the easy team win.
Bellevue is in week one of a four-week consecutive stretch of matches as they travel to Tumwater next week for the South Puget Sound League Match at Tumwater Valley GC on Apr. 19.
