Men’s Golf Takes League Match Title

Bellevue College men’s golf won the South Puget Sound League Match by a commanding 14 strokes over runner-up Columbia Basin, shooting a two-day total of +17 at Tumwater Valley GC in Tumwater, WA. After holding a narrow two stroke lead after day one on Sun. Apr. 19, the ‘dogs separated themselves on the final day, besting the Hawks and Spokane by 12 strokes, shooting a blistering +6 as a team.

Although none of the men took home medalist honors, the ‘dogs controlled the top ten with Henry Mills leading the way at +3 shooting 75-72, finishing tied for third overall in the 54-man field. Isaac Elaimy was one stroke behind at +4 while Kai Lambro was one stroke behind him at +5. Jack Leary finished eighth at +7. Benjamin Kim, who did not count towards the team scoring, finished in the top ten overall as well with rounds of 75-77 for a tie for ninth place.

The Bulldogs have won back to back league matches and look to take home their third straight next week at the Olympic League Match which will be held on Apr. 26-27 at Gold Mountain GC in Gorst, WA.
