
Bellevue College softball won two games on the road with ease, topping Skagit Valley 20-2 and 12-4 in Mount Vernon. In the opener, BC plated nine runs in innings two and three before piling it on with 11 runs in the fourth to go up 20-1. The top four batters for Bellevue, Shannon Tierney, Maddie Repp, Allie Barashkoff, and Abby Watkins did most of the damage, with 11 hits and 15 RBI’s by the top of the order. Ella Singer was 3-for-4 with 4 runs scored while Maddie Zimprich had 3 RBI’s and scored 4 runs also. Ava Jeretzky went three innings shutting out the Cardinals while striking out 5.
In game two, the Bulldogs had to work harder, up only 5-2 through four innings but had the big inning in the fifth, plating seven runs. Tierney led the offensive surge with a grand slam home run to push the momentum Bellevue’s way for good. Repp and Singer continued their hot hitting with three hits in game two. Jeretzky went the distance in the circle scattering four runs for the win.
Bellevue is 18-6 in North Region play and 26-16 overall. They host Douglas this Wed. May 6 and Everett on Fri. May 8 to close out the regular season. First pitch on both days is set for 4 P.M.
