Bellevue College women’s soccer controlled the ball on their side the entire game in a 3-0 shutout over visiting Edmonds. The Bulldogs’ Simone Bennett recorded the shutout in the box for BC as the Tritons failed to get a shot off for the entire game.
Sophomore Kiara Scheidt provided all the offense Bellevue needed with a pair of goals on consecutive possessions off feeds from Olivia Juarez. Scheidt’s first connection was at 36:03 then followed with her second goal a minute later. Brynne Cope gave BC enough cushion for an easy win with a solo goal at 53:45 early on in the second half. Cope’s goal was preceded by a near miss by Sawyer Young, who missed wide left setting the stage for Cope’s goal.
Bellevue is now 2-1 in North Region play and will travel to Whatcom on Sept. 23 for a 5 p.m. game.
