Bellevue College volleyball extended their winning streak to 11 with a convincing 3-0 sweep over visiting Olympic College at Courter Family Athletic Pavillion. Bellevue wasted little time in the three sets winning 25-6, 25-9, 25-13.
The Bulldogs hit a scorching .520 on the night as the Rangers were able to generate only 14 total kills in the entire match.
Bellevue went on an 8-0 run in set one to go up 19-4 on a trio of aces by Ja’elle Jenkins. The Bulldogs went on two separate 7-0 runs in set two as Jenkins and freshman Cleo Corbin hammered home four kills apiece during those stretches. Set three was closer on the scoreboard but was BC’s cleanest offensively with 17 kills and only one swing error as Iliana Brockett had a pair of kills early on during a 6-0 run to separate the Bulldogs early to secure the sweep.
Jenkins led BC with 11 kills, eight digs, and three service aces. Bellevue is now 2-0 in North Region play and 16-4 overall. They host Everett next Wed. Sept. 30
