Bellevue College women’s soccer battled host Everett Community College to a 1-1 tie after a late goal by the Trojans erased a 1-0 lead. In a defensive battle, BC’s Kiara Scheidt scored an unassisted goal to break the scoreless game at 51:17. Bellevue ‘keeper Allison Gehrig was stellar in the box with three saves in the second half until Everett’s offense finally broke through with a goal at 68:40.
Gehrig had six saves on the day while Scheidt was BC’s main threat all game, firing off five shots.
Bellevue is 2-2-1 in North Region play (2-4-1 overall) and will host Skagit Valley this Wed. Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.
