The Bulldogs played their annual games at the University of Washington Softball Stadium on Monday, April 15, against Shoreline CC, winning both games of the doubleheader on a sunny, but chilly, afternoon. In game one, Shoreline took an early 2-0 lead, but with two outs in the fourth, the Bulldogs scored nine runs and never looked back, winning 12-4. Brielle Bray and Brittany Jacobsen both had home runs for the Dawgs and Bray picked up the win.
In game two, the Bulldogs came out swinging to score five runs in the first and take an early lead. They added two more to go up 7-0, but Shoreline came back with three runs in the fifth to make it a 7-3 game. The Dawgs responded with three runs of their own in the sixth before Shoreline added another three runs in their half of the inning. Bellevue was able to hold Shoreline down in the seventh to win 10-6. Hannah Sauget picked up the win, while Jacobsen added two more home runs to finish with three on the day.
The Bulldogs, now 10-0 in North Region play and 19-3 overall, host Douglas, who is also unbeaten in North Region play, this Thursday, April 18, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Bellevue College softball field.
