Volleyball Takes Non-Leaguer

Bellevue College volleyball got back to winning ways with an easy 3-0 sweep over visiting Pacific University JV, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-20. The Bulldogs swung at a red-hot .350 mark with only nine total swing errors all night.

Lexi Echols was on fire for BC, garnering 10 kills on 17 swings without committing an error. The freshman sensation from Vancouver hit at an eye-popping .588 clip. Jessi Mahler, Bellevue’s sophomore six-rotation standout was on her game on both fronts with 10 kills and 11 digs. Middle Blocker Annie Goetze had seven kills for the ‘dogs. Setting up the pins was Mandi Nottingham who had 22 assists and also had three aces from the serve line.

Bellevue is 15-4 and now takes a nine day hiatus away from action as they await their North Region opener next Fri. Sept. 27 when they host Olympic. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
