
Bellevue College volleyball got back to normal business with a convincing 3-0 sweep over visiting Shoreline by sets of 25-13, 25-13, 25-11. The Bulldogs defense limited the Dolphins to just 16 kills over the three sets while Jessi Mahler was swinging the hot hand delivering 12 kills on a .429 percentage.
The ‘dogs dominated and held the lead the entire night with the exception of one short two-point stretch in set three as Shoreline briefly led 4-3. The Bulldogs then seized control and later turned what was a competitive third set into a blowout as they went on an 11-0 run with Mahler at the serve line. The sophomore had two aces during that stretch as well.
Bellevue is now 2-1 in North Region play and 17-5 overall. They host Everett next Wed. Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
