Bellevue College men’s tennis defeated host Spokane 8-1 on Sun. Apr. 27.
Number one seed Tim Tao defeated John Guske 6-3, 6-4 while Bellevue’s Ryan Gavino won number two singles 6-3, 6-1. Cole Fredricks won 6-3, 6-3, Blake Gettmann won 6-0, 6-0 and Aito Backus won 6-0, 6-1 to win numbers four through six seeds respectively.
On the doubles side, BC swept all three matches as Tao and Garino won 8-0 over Guske-Christian Torres. The duos of Colby Weller-Backus and Cole Fredericks-Gettmann both won by scores of 8-3.
The Bulldogs will now head to the NWAC Championships this Fri-Sat May 2-3 at the Yakima Tennis Club.
