
Bellevue College men’s soccer opened up NWAC league play with a convincing 7-0 win at Edmonds. The Bulldogs put up three goals in the first half with another four in the second with incredible efficiency, netting seven of their eight shots on goal.
Defensively, the ‘dogs clamped down limited Edmonds just three tries as Mason Duarte recorded the shutout in the box for BC. Harry Powell scored on an assist by Loic Charles-Antoine at 21:52. Hongfan Wei added another on a solo shot at 29:01 before Westin Galle nailed one in just before halftime.
After intermission, BC didn’t waste time as Nick Sharp found the back of the net just six minutes into the half on an assist by Marcus Winkler. The duo connected again for BC’s sixth goal at 65:44.
Hamza Elmetwally scored two late goals in the final ten minutes to end the blowout win for the ‘dogs.
The Bulldogs are 3-0 on the year and 1-0 in North Region play. They host Whatcom next Wed. Sept. 17 at 2 p.m.
