Bellevue Sweeps Olympic In Three On The Road

Bellevue College volleyball continued their winning ways at Olympic, defeating the Rangers in straight sets 25-23, 25-18, 25-9. The Bulldogs labored a bit with serve receive and on the offensive end, hitting .190 for the first two sets with 10 errors, but cleaned it up in the dominating set three with a .438 clip. The defensive front row was on top of their game, limiting Olympic to a paltry -.140 hitting average.

In set one, the Bulldogs found themselves down 21-18 as the Rangers smelled upset early on, but three consecutive points by Mya Hejl, Gillian Merhoff, and Cadence Lyon put an end to the Rangers’ hopes.

In set two, the ‘dogs went on a torrid 10-1 run to move the score from 8-6 to 18-7 as Olivia Chilton paced the rally with two kills in the 10 point stretch.

Merhoff led BC with seven kills while setter Lucci Unga had 13 assists.

Bellevue will host Shoreline next Fri. Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
