
Bellevue College men’s soccer topped visiting Edmonds 5-0 as a strong second half showing allowed the Bulldogs to tack on four goals while getting 10 shots off. The Tritons, winless this year at 0-8-1, had zero shots on goal as Bellevue ‘keeper Mason Duarte recorded an easy shutout in the win.
Bellevue was agressive early as Loic Charles-Antoine fired off two shots on goal in the first ten minutes before halftime when Benjamin Huller scored at 43:25 to put the Bulldogs up 1-0.
Santiago Vergara started the BC dominance in the second half with a quick goal just 2:20 into the half on an assist by Sergio Mercado. Vergara added a solo shot at 64:35 before Charles-Antoine finally found the back of the net with goals at 82:49 and 87:43. Hongfan Wei assisted on the first goal by Charles-Antoine while Diego Romero connected on the latter.
Bellevue moves to 3-3-1 (5-3-1 overall) and sits in third place in the North Region. They travel to Whatcom next Wed. Oct. 15 for a 5 p.m. start.
