
After two consecutive low scoring battles which ended up ties dating back to last season, the Bellevue College women’s soccer team finally got over the hump and topped visiting Edmonds 2-0. The defense played strong all game as the Tritons managed only two shots on goal including one just 33 seconds into the game. From there on BC defense allowed Bellevue goalkeeper Lillian Johnston to record the shutout.
Freshman Kiara Scheidt continued her strong freshman season with a goal and assist for the ‘dogs. Scheidt assisted Oteta Kitiona at 11:23 to give Bellevue an early 1-0 lead before scoring herself later in the game at 69:41.
Bellevue is now in second place in the North Region at 4-1-2 and have a critical game next Wed. Oct. 15 at Whatcom as the two are battling for playoff seeds.
