Bellevue College women’s soccer went on the road for their final regular season game at top-ranked Peninsula and were shutout 4-0. Looking to avenge a 2-0 loss from earlier in the season on Oct. 1, the Bulldogs could not come up with answers for stopping Peninsula’s constant offensive attack. The Pirates kept both BC goalkeepers, Paige Boyce and Lillian Johnston busy all day, firing off 15 shots on goal while the ‘dogs could muster only four.

The Pirates struck early, scoring just four minutes into the game which was preceded by two near goals by the Pirates.

Natalie Jas finally got off a shot midway through the first half but could not find the back of the net. The ‘dogs had chances near the end of the half as both Kiara Scheidt and Karly Ellis had near misses that were snagged by Peninsula ‘keeper Alexandra Naill.

The Pirates would add on two more goals at 58:07 and 81:57 to close out the game.

Bellevue ends the regular season in third place in the North Region at 7-3-2 (7-4-3 overall). Bellevue now looks to the post season, where they will begin the NWAC playoffs on the road. The Bulldogs will travel to the West Region second seed, Highline, in a match between two longtime rivals, on Wed. Nov. 5. The opening round playoff game will start at noon at Starfire Complex Field #1 in Tukwila.
