Bellevue College men’s basketball fell to Portland Community College 98-82 in another high-scoring affair for Bellevue and their opponents. Coming off a frustrating season-opening loss in which the Bulldogs were out-muscled in the rebound category, Portland capitalized at the free throw line and from long range, making 12 of 21 from three point territory.
After a hot first half, the Bulldogs offense fizzled in the second half as the Panthers outscored BC 53-33 for the runaway win.
Will Woodward had a breakout night for the ‘dogs in nearly every category. He made 11-of-20 from the field and was six-for-nine from the free throw line and had game highs of 12 rebounds and 29 points.
