Bellevue College men’s basketball continued their high-octane offensive display for the second consecutive game in a convincing 94-70 win over visiting Walla Walla. The game was the host team’s opener in the Bellevue Classic; a four team round-robin event featuring Tacoma and Skagit Valley as well.

The Bulldogs shot the lights out from the get go as the five starters shot a combined 23-for-36 from the field and had one of the most balanced scoring attacks this season with five players in double figures. Josiah Johnson, Daniel Kabamba and Caden Culver were a combined 15-for-20 from the field. The 75% clip was one of the best displays of team depth in the NWAC.

Bellevue took control early with 66% shooting and 19 boards in the first half. With hot shooting all game, the Warriors could not find an opportunity to close in while BC continued the magic touch from everywhere on the court. Josiah Johnson’s two free throws at 5:03 put BC up by 20 at 42-22 which was then extended to 22 on a pair of Max Mayo buckets.

The offensive surge continued in the second half as Isaiah White’s three pointer early on nearly stretched Bellevue’s lead to 30 points. The Warriors never threatened as BC maintained a 25-30 point lead for the remainder of the second half.

White led Bellevue with 15 points while Mayo and Will Woodward had 14 apiece. Woodward pulled down a team high nine rebounds as well. Johnson and Kabamba’s 12 off the bench were Bellevue’s other double-digit scorers.

The Bulldogs, riding a five game win streak, will take on Tacoma tomorrow Sat. Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.
