Hejl And Deckard Earn All-American Honors

Bellevue College volleyball added more accolades to their historic season with two players named to the All-American team, as named by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The prestigious list represents the best players from every two-year college affiliation: NJCAA Divisions I, II, III, the 3C2A (California two-year schools) and the NWAC. Bellevue was one of only six junior colleges in the country to have more than one player make the teams.

Mya Hejl was named to the First Team. The middle blocker from Valley Springs, SD led the NWAC in hitting percentage at .356 and was third in blocks per set with 1.24. Deckard, a converted outside hitter to libero following a gap year, was fourth overall in the conference in digs with 514.

Here is the complete list and release from the AVCA.
