Bellevue College men’s basketball added another to the win column and their 12 game winning streak with an easy 74-53 drubbing of Tacoma. The visiting Bulldogs jumped ahead 43-26 in the first half and cruised the rest of the way.

Although down 10-4 in the early stages of the first half, the Bulldogs reversed momentum quickly to put out any thought of an upset when Josiah Johnson’s bucket at 11:19 put the Bulldogs up for the first time 15-13. Isaiah White and Johnson added baskets to push the lead to eight which mushroomed to 17 by intermission.

With a comfortable double digit lead throughout the second half, the scoring spree continued as BC pushed the margin to almost 30 points at 74-46 with 3:09 remaining following a White layup.

Bellevue outrebounded the Titans 50-30 as Will Woodward snagged 11 of them followed by Daniel Kabamba who brought down seven boards in only 16 minutes of action. Sawyer Cottrell was four-for-six from three point land and had 18 points while White chipped in 14. Johnson, inserted into the starting lineup playing in his hometown had 11 on five-of-nine shooting.

The Bulldogs are now 12-2 and host Wenatchee Valley tomorrow Sat. Jan. 3 at 4 PM.
