Bellevue College softball split a doubleheader with visiting Grays Harbor, winning 8-0 and falling

In the shutout win, Bellevue jumped out 2-0 in the first inning on consecutive RBI hits by Allie Barashkoff and Aubree Orr. The dog’s then blew it open with a five run sixth inning led by Shannon Tierney’s two RBI double. Abby Watkins and Ava Jeretzky also had RBI hits in the inning. Jeretzky also turned in Bellevue’s top pitching performance of the season with a three hit shutout in the circle.

In the 9-8 loss, the Bulldogs saw an 8-4 lead crumble as four walks and a wild pitch allowed the Chokers to plate four runs on only one hit. Orr was on fire at the plate with a four-for-five game while Jeretzky was three-for-three with three RBI’s.

Bellevue will take on Centralia (3 P.M.) and Treasure Valley (5:30 P.M.) on Sat. Mar. 7 at the NWAC Pre-Season Tourney in Pasco.
