Softball Sweeps Pierce

Bellevue College softball won two games on the road on Sunday winning 11-6 and 9-5 over Pierce. Bellevue erupted for 17 hits in the opener and put up four runs in the fourth inning to take control. Maddie Repp had four hits while sophomore transfer Shannon Tierney continued her torrid pace at the plate with a 3-for-4 game with 3 RBI’s and 4 runs in the leadoff position. Tierney’s triple was a 2-RBI hit in the fourth.

In game two, the Bulldogs had to work hard to break a 5-5 tie in the sixth as the offense again carried the team to victory. Repp and Ava Jeretzky delivered the big blows with Repp driving in two with a double. Jeretzky also clutched up in the circle shutting down Pierce in the sixth and seventh innings to hold onto the win.

Bellevue is now 6-0 in North Region play and 14-6 overall. The ‘dogs host Skagit Valley on Wed. Apr. 1 at 4 P.M.
