Bellevue Women Win Golf Match

Bellevue College women’s golf held on after building a four shot lead to win the South Puget Sound League Match at Tumwater Valley GC. On opening day, Sun. Apr. 19, Bellevue shot +39; good for a four stroke lead over Columbia Basin. Although Columbia Basin fizzled on day two, Southwestern Oregon came out firing low with at +35, three strokes better than the ‘dogs. The Lakers wound up runner-up after their strong day two finish.

The Bulldogs’ Hadley McDonough took home individual honors shooting 77-82 to win medalist by a commanding six strokes over Southwestern Oregon’s Savannah Doughty. Kari Petterson finished tied for fifth for Bellevue, shooting 87-85 while Kennedy Kimball finished tied for sixteenth with Ava Guthrie at +39.

The Bulldogs will travel to Gorst, WA next weekend for the Olympic League Match at Gold Mountain GC on Apr. 26-27.
