
Bellevue College volleyball continued their winning ways after going undefeated in last weekend’s NWAC Crossover Tourney by topping Tacoma 25-12, 25-12, 25-10 at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion.
The Bulldogs took advantage of 26 errors by the Titans, who fell to 1-17 on the season. Bellevue was sharpest in the final set, hitting .360. BC created separation in set on going on a 7-0 run at 15-11. Cadence Lyon had a pair of kills during that stretch. Set two was won with ease as the Bulldogs went on two 4-0 runs at 11-6 and 16-9. Cleo Corbin had the hot hand in set three with three kills early on as Bellevue built an 11-2 lead en route to the blowout.
Corbin hit .417 with seven kills while Maya Velasquez hit .833. Ja’elle Jenkins and Tessa Mossburg each had 11 digs on the defensive end for Bellevue.
The win puts Bellevue at 14-4 as the ‘dogs were ranked third in the NWAC Coaches’ Poll which was released today by NWAC Sports. The Bulldogs have won nine in a row and now enter North Region play beginning next Wed. Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. when they host Skagit Valley.
