Bellevue College women’s soccer traveled to Port Angeles and were stymied by the #2 ranked Peninsula Pirates’ defense falling 1-0. The Bulldogs were able to only to get two total shots off the entire game with their lone shot on goal coming on a Kiana Diebler strike at 27:01 but was stopped by the Pirates’ Aspen Fraser, who recorded the shutout in the box for Peninsula.

The Pirates struck early just 15 minutes into the game. Although down just 1-0, the Bulldogs’ frustration grew as the game went deeper after having difficulty penetrating Peninsula’s tough defense. Bellevue could not get anything going in the second half despite the valiant effort of BC ‘keeper Simone Bennett who had five saves.

Bellevue is now 2-4-1 in the North Region (2-6-1 overall) and will host Shoreline this Sat. Oct. 10 at noon.
