BC freshman Chiaki Yoshikawa only lost three sets in two matches as she cruised to the 2018 NWAC Women’s Championship title. Sophomore Edgardo Quintero Delgado went undefeated in No. 1 singles league play and captured both the No. 1 Singles and No. 1 Doubles Championships.
The Bellevue College men’s soccer team will hold a soccer ID camp in June at the Bellevue College turf field. The first session will be Saturday, June 2 and the second session on Saturday, June 9.
The Bellevue College men’s golf team forged a four-shot lead after the first day, but saw regular-season leader North Idaho come back to tie it and then win the NWAC Golf Championship on a tie-breaker.
The Bulldogs battled back to force a second title game against host Lane, but were unable to overcome a four-run deficit in their fifth game in three days and fell to the Titans 7-3 in the final of the NWAC South Super Regional on Sunday.
Bellevue College posted a pair of victories at the rain-delayed NWAC Softball Championships, but saw its hopes of advancing end when second-seeded Douglas overcame a six-run deficit and rallied for an 11-9 victory on Sunday.
BC infielders Brennen Hancock, Griffin McCormick and Grant DeLappe, along with outfielder Ethan Smith, were named first team NWAC all-North Region in baseball. Pitchers Eli Herrick and Brendan Ecklebarger were named to the second team, along with utility player Carter Wallace.
