Associate of Applied Science – Transfer Degree
The AAS-Transfer in Business Management combines technical courses required for job preparation and college-level general education courses. These degrees are designed for the dual purpose of immediate employment and preparation for the junior year in a Washington state bachelor of applied science (BAS) degree program.
Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts in Business Management is designed to help students learn new or enhance existing business skills and obtain a strong, broad-based knowledge of business management in the manufacturing, retail, and service industries.This program also promotes success in both profit and non-profit organizations. Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Project Management may be applied to this degree.
Certificate of Accomplishment – Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship certificate is designed for students interested in entrepreneurial opportunities. It offers students an opportunity to understand entrepreneurship, take the first steps towards developing a new business and building the skills entrepreneurs need to be successful.
Certificate of Accomplishment – Project Management
The Project Management certificate addresses basic project management for better managing time, people, and money resources in a business environment. The certificate serves as the basis for further study and additional specialized skills in project management.

Business Management FAQ
Students pursuing an Associate degree can complete the program in two years if they:
- have already assessed into ENGL& 101 or completed the course prerequisites for ENGL& 101
- attend full-time during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters of the academic year
- successfully complete all course requirements with satisfactory grades
- sequence their course prerequisites appropriately (see an academic advisor for help if needed)

English
Yes. The Business Management degree does require that students complete at least one English course, ENGL& 101.
Math
Yes. Students will need to take a course called BUS 145: Business Mathematics. Unlike other math classes, this class does not require taking the math placement/assessment exam. Students entering this course should be prepared to learn business vocabulary centered around addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
