Intro to Title II Requirements
The U.S. Department of Justice has updated Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act to establish clear digital accessibility standards for public entities, including colleges and universities. These requirements ensure that web content and mobile applications are accessible to individuals with disabilities, with full compliance required by April 24, 2026. This means our digital materials, from course content to student services, must meet specific technical standards to remove barriers and provide equal access to education.

Our Responsibility and the Importance of Accessibility
While these requirements carry legal obligations, accessibility has always been central to our educational mission. Every student deserves equal opportunity to learn and succeed, regardless of ability. These federal standards reinforce what we already value: creating an inclusive environment where all students thrive. Rather than viewing compliance as a burden, we see this as an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to accessibility—benefiting everyone through better, clearer content.
