Reset: Stretch, Strengthen & Recharge

6 Wednesdays September 23, October 7, 21, November 4, 18, & December 2; online

3:00-3:40 p.m. Level 2 – Strength

3:45-4:15 p.m. Level 1 — Restore

Faculty spend much of the day teaching, attending meetings, grading, answering emails, and juggling competing priorities. This workshop offers an opportunity to pause, move your body, and recharge both physically and mentally, whether you join us in person or online.

Each session combines functional movement designed for people who spend long hours sitting or working at a computer. Activities include mobility and flexibility exercises, posture improvement, core strengthening, breathing techniques, and guided relaxation. No prior fitness experience is required, and all exercises can be modified to accommodate different comfort and fitness levels.

Participants may choose between two back-to-back sessions, or attend both: – “Level 2 – Strength” focuses on light strength training, standing core exercises, balance, and functional movement to improve stability and overall fitness. – “Level 1 – Restore” emphasizes stretching, mobility, breathing, and mindful relaxation to reduce tension and promote recovery.

Come for one session or stay for both! The goal is simply to leave feeling better than when you arrived.

We encourage you to RSVP so that we know how many attendees to expect, but drop-ins are welcome.

Open to faculty and staff.  Contact Winnie Li, Social Science, for more information.
