Biography:

Dr. Sondra Ricar has been teaching history for more than 20 years. She received her BA with Honors in History and Politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and subsequently received her MA and Ph.D. in World History, specializing in Russian History from the same institution. She has taught US History, American Government, and Humanities at various colleges. She teaches face-to-face at Cabrillo College in Aptos California, and online at West Valley College in Saratoga, California, Klamath Community College in Oregon, Moberly College in Missouri and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver. Her dissertation, A Social Portrait of Russian Revolutionary Women was not published, but she has published Scenarios in American Government, and Checks and Balances, an Introduction to American Government. Sondra lives in Santa Cruz California with her family and when not teaching enjoys reading, watching sports, and working jigsaw puzzles.
