Biography:

Dr. Greenspan is an independent consultant to pharmaceutical and biotech companies assisting them with building their IP strategies, IP diligence activities, managing their portfolios, and establishing IP in-house programs. He received his BA in physics from Clark University and his MS and Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.  His research career spanned more than two decades in toxicology, aerosol science, and respiratory drug delivery at Union Carbide Corporation, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Dura and Elan Pharmaceuticals.

He is a registered patent agent and has held positions as the Director of Intellectual Property Strategy Management at Pfizer La Jolla Laboratories, and Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Verus Pharmaceuticals and Prometheus Laboratories.

Bernie is also a co-inventor on 11 US patents and has co-authored 20 publications.

When he is not busy teaching or consulting, Bernie and his wife enjoy their African Grey parrot and going to plays.
