Radiology point for Radiologic Technology program admission
- Work or volunteer directly under the supervision of an ARRT RT (Radiologic Technologists) for a minimum of 50 hours.
- The experience must be completed in a hospital or large clinic setting that enables the applicant to observe a larger number of patients, roles of RT’s and variety of x-ray exams.
- Observation should include a number of procedures and exams that are performed by Radiologic Technologists on a daily basis. To include, but not limited to:
- General radiography (chest, abdomen, extremities)
- Fluoroscopy
- Radiology in the ED
- Portables
Be aware that to earn this point, the applicant will be required to sign a Reference Release form when you apply to the program. In order to complete that form, the applicant will need the name and email of the Radiologic Technologist involved in your experience. This information will be necessary to confirm the experience and seek information related to the applicant’s:
- Attitude
- Communication
- Level of interest
- Preparation for the experience
