Hands-On, Portfolio-Building Project

Over three quarters, students in the AR/VR Development Certificate program learn by doing as they explore augmented and virtual reality. By the end of the program, students create their own virtual experience project to show potential employers.

Maria Sanchez Isaza

Faculty Lead, BC XR Lab

Maria Sanchez Isaza is the Faculty Lead of Bellevue College’s XR Lab and has worked in immersive technologies for more than six years. She teaches XR development and client collaboration courses and helps students build practical skills in virtual reality, augmented reality, and interactive media.

Maria’s background combines multimedia production, interaction design, and immersive storytelling. She has collaborated with industry partners including Tosolini Productions, where she has contributed to XR projects focused on training, education, and interactive experiences. Through the XR Lab, she works closely with faculty, students, and community partners to explore how immersive technologies can be used to solve real-world problems.
