Brian Pan – Head Coach

Brian Pan is the Head Coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs at Bellevue College.

This past season in 2025, Coach Pan’s men’s team took home the NWAC regular season title over Columbia Basin. He was named NWAC Coach of the Year.

Pan previously coached for one season at Lynnwood High School, where he led the boys’ golf team to their lowest team score in over five seasons. 

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Pan worked with the Seattle Seahawks/Sounders FC organization for 14 seasons in various roles in Digital Production. 

Growing up in Pullman, Washington, Pan played golf, basketball and football for Pullman High School, leading the golf team to a second-place finish at WIAA State Championships his senior year, placing fifth individually, just two strokes off the leading score. 

Following a successful high school career, Pan attended Pacific University (Forest Grove, Oregon), where he played all four years and also worked as the Golf Coordinator. 

Pan regularly competes in the Chambers Solstice, where golfers walk and play 72 holes at Chambers Bay Golf Course in a single day, all benefiting First Tee of Seattle.

Scott Kennedy – Assistant Coach

Scott Kennedy is the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs at Bellevue College from spring 2024, however also previously coached the team from 2018 to 2021.

Scott was born, grew up and went to school in the UK, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s degree in Aircraft Engineering. Following college Scott worked as a structural engineer at Airbus in the UK before moving to Seattle in 2004 to work at The Boeing Company.

In 2014 Scott decided to embark on a new phase and leave the aircraft industry to follow his childhood passion for golf, which led to improving his overall skill and knowledge of the game, but with special focus on both course management and the mental strength aspects.

John Riley – Assistant Coach

John Riley has been named Assistant Golf Coach for Bellevue College golf. Riley is also the Head Coach at Snohomish HS and is the current Director of Instruction at Fusion Golf Academy; a position he has held since 2018.

Riley brings extensive experience as a PGA teaching professional. The PGA Associate Member is a former Assistant Golf Professional at Aldarra GC and Pebble Beach.

As a player, Riley enjoyed a decorated career as a competitor on the Golden State Tour from 1990-1995.
