Mariners prospect Austin Shenton makes history as latest to tame center field wall in Tacoma

Fraley, who spent some time last summer with the Rainiers roaming the vast chasm that is center field at Cheney, was as stunned as everyone else in the ballpark when 22-year-old prospect Austin Shenton – a former BC standout – crushed a ball to deep center that cleared the wall with ease and landed somewhere in the Foss High School parking lot beyond.




NWAC postpones most fall sports to winter and spring

NWAC 2020-21 return to play

The NWAC Executive Board approved a plan to move the majority of fall sports to winter and spring quarters. Men’s and women’s golf (and cross-country) will commence in the fall on a reduced and modified schedule. All other NWAC sports will begin competition in winter and spring quarters of 2021 with reduced schedules as well.

BC Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet postponed

Bellevue College Hall of Fame

The BC Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet planned for October 2020 has been postponed until the Spring of 2021, where we will induct both the classes of 2020 and 2021. Both classes will be announced in Fall 2020. Nominations are still being accepted at this time.


Former BC standout Grant Harris named to the Big South All-Academic Team

Campbell baseball senior Grant Harris has been named to the 2020 Big South Conference All-Academic Team. Harris joined the Campbell baseball program in 2018 as a transfer from Bellevue College. Through two full years as a Camel, Harris has maintained a near perfect 4.0 GPA as he pursues his degree in sport management from Campbell.


Clarkston Bantam Jalena Henry signs with Bellevue College

Clarkston basketball player, Jalena Henry, has signed to play ball at the next level. Henry signed with Bellevue College on the west side of the state. The 5-11 Bantam post was a force in her senior season. She averaged a team high six rebounds per game and scored a little over seven points per contest.


Twin Falls basketball player signs with BC

McKayla Rodriguez signs with BC

A Twin Falls senior is headed up to Washington state to continue her basketball career. McKayla Rodriguez signed with Bellevue College over the weekend. Rodriguez earned Great Basin Ten all-conference honorable mention honors this season, after helping the Bruins finish with a 15-7 record.


Benson to play volleyball at Bellevue

La Conner standout Justine Benson will play volleyball for Bellevue College. The senior setter, a multisport star at La Conner, helped boost the Braves to back-to-back Class 2B state volleyball titles in her junior and senior seasons.
