Jamie manages the Neurodiversity Navigators program and keeps the ship afloat! Jamie keeps track of all the moving pieces and works closely with the director and peer mentors to ensure that students are receiving professional support. Learn more about Jamie below.
Jamie Boyd received her AAS-DTA from Seattle Central College, and took many classes from Bellevue College while completing her degree. She has a B.S. in Health Psychology & Integrated Wellness from Bastyr, with a minor in research. She volunteered as a peer mentor for Community for Youth & Communities in Schools before starting with Neurodiversity Navigators as a Peer Mentor in 2018, and loved it so much she never left! Jamie currently volunteers as an IEP Parent Partner for ARC of King County. She received a late life ADHD diagnosis many years ago, and then her autism diagnosis after realizing she was amongst her people here. Her career passions are disability justice, and equitable educational & mental health access.
In her free time, Jamie’s hobbies are hanging out with her two cats, playing the piano, writing music & poetry, spending time in nature camping, hiking, and paddling the lake, meditating, yoga, cooking, and baking ridiculously elaborate cakes.
