National Center for Victims of Crime
A nonprofit organization that advocates for victims’ rights, trains professionals who work with victims, and serves as a trusted source of information on victims’ issues. After more than 25 years, we remain the most comprehensive national resource committed to advancing victims’ rights and helping victims of crime rebuild their lives.
RAINN – Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
SAFER – Students Active For Ending Rape
Started by Columbia University students in 2000, Students Active for Ending Rape (SAFER) is the only organization that fights sexual violence and rape culture by empowering student-led campaigns to reform college sexual assault policies.
SCESA – National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault
An advocacy organization of Women of Color dedicated to working with our communities to create a just society in which all Women of Color are able to live healthy lives free of violence. Our purpose is to give voice and develop action strategies that incorporate and address the experiences of Women of Color and Communities of Color.
Sexual Violence Law Center
Helping sexual assault survivors rebuild their lives by protecting their privacy, safety and civil rights through legal advocacy and public education. The Sexual Violence Law Center (SVLC) was founded in 2008 by Catherine Carroll & Kelly O’Connell, former lawyers with the WA Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs. Based in Seattle, Washington, SVLC was a 501(c)3 charitable not for profit organization with extensive experience working to improve the legal response to survivors of sexual violence. In 2014, SLVC became a program of the YWCA of Seattle | King | Snohomish.
Surviving In Numbers
Online, Surviving in Numbers posts stories from survivors of many ages and backgrounds — not just survivors who’ve experienced violence on campus. Offline, Surviving in Numbers develops & implements prevention curriculum for high schoolers.

National Alliance to End Sexual Violence
The National Alliance to End Sexual Violence educates the policy community about federal laws, legislation and appropriations impacting the fight to end sexual violence. Its team of experts and advocates, donating time away from their state and local groups, publish written analysis, track legislation, provide media interviews, and advise members of Congress and the executive branch.
