Turning last year’s successful homecoming into a tradition, Bellevue College is accepting applications for the 2018 BC Homecoming Brutus’ Court. The Court will be comprised of four BC students who have submitted an application for review. Selected students will be honored as Brutus’ Court and will take part in the Homecoming Week events. Additionally, selected court members will receive a certificate, homecoming sash, and will assist in the judging and selection of the winners of the Golf Cart Parade challenges and Sidewalk Chalk Art.
Application Process
Students interested in applying for the 2018 Brutus’ Court must submit a minimum of 250 words stating “why they are proud to be a BC Bulldog.”
Completed statements must be submitted to the BC Foundation at foundation@bellevuecollege.edu no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1. Applications received after the deadline or incomplete applications may not be considered.
Applications must include the following items:
- Student Name (First and Last)
- BC Student ID
- BC Email Address
- BC Program or Degree
- Minimum of 250 to a maximum of 500 word statement describing why they are proud to be a BC Bulldog.
Applications will be reviewed by the Homecoming Committee and winners will be announced via email on Thursday, Oct. 4.
Criteria
- Only BC students may submit an application
- Students must be enrolled for the Fall 2018 term
- Must have a 2.00 cumulative GPA or higher (if fall 2018 is the first term, must be in good academic standing)
- Must be in good standing with BC
- Must be available to participate in the following activities:
- Golf Cart Parade judging – Monday, Oct. 8, 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Sidewalk Chalk judging – Friday, Oct. 12, 2 – 2:30 p.m.
