“Ten Years ago, October 17 2003, I was hit by a car. After that, I thought my life was over, and I wouldn’t go anywhere in life. I finally decided to attend OLS at Bellevue College in 2009. With this program, I learned about The Brain Injury Association of Washington while researching for my internship. I started volunteering there during the summer, where they asked me to be part of the video they were making for their Gala. I don’t think I would have gotten this amazing opportunity if I did not come to OLS. Since attending OLS, I have gained the strength to be me and spread the word about brain injuries.”
