Eva Norling

Full-time French & German Instructor

Biography:

For more than 30 years I have been teaching German & French first at a Gymnasium in Germany and then in the United States. My first American teaching experience was in a High School in the High Desert in California, and then at the International School in Bellevue before joining Seattle Central Community College and ultimately Bellevue College in 1992.

I was born, raised, and educated in Germany and France where I earned a Magister Artium as well as the German upper-level teaching degree, ‘’1st and 2nd Staatsexamen in French and German from the “Universität Freiburg” in Southern Germany. I had the great fortune to study at the ‘’Sorbonne” in Paris and the ‘’Université de Tours’’.

In my free time, I like to hike in the beautiful PNW, travel abroad, stay informed about current French and German life, politics, language, and culture, and spend time with my lovely family, and our sweet Golden Retriever. I love to bake Artisan bread like a hearty Vollkornbrot, baguettes, and pastries like brioches, croissants, and Danishes.
