Animation has the power to bring your architectural designs to life. Our latest interior design visualization experiment focuses on the journey from the intimate details of interior furnishings to the broader urban context in which a house resides.
In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the process of creating a captivating animation using Twinmotion, exporting it to Unreal, and seamlessly merging the videos in Adobe Premiere. Whether you’re an architect, designer, or just a creative enthusiast, this guide will help you unlock the potential of these powerful tools.
Step 1: Building Your Scene in Twinmotion
- Begin by using Twinmotion’s asset gallery to construct different rooms and elements within your scene.
- When your scene is complete, export it as a Datasmith file.
Step 2: Importing Your Scene into Unreal
- To import your Twinmotion scene into Unreal, you’ll need the Twinmotion for Unreal plugin. Note: This plugin works with Unreal 5.1 or under.
- Make sure to enable the Datasmith importer plugin from the Unreal Engine’s plugin window.
For these first two steps you can also follow this tutorial.
Step 3: Animating in Unreal
- In Unreal, animate the position of furniture and assets to bring your scene to life.
- Render the first part of your video with the animations.
- If you are not familiar with Unreal animations I suggest you watch this video.
Step 4: Creating a Cesium Scene
- For the second part of your video, create a new scene.
- Download the Cesium for Unreal plugin and create a Cesium layer with your desired coordinates.
- Place the house within this Cesium layer.
- Create a camera animation that zooms out to capture the entire scene.
- This is a step by step guide that will help you to integrate Cesium with Unreal.
Step 5: Merging the Videos in Adobe Premiere
- Import both video parts into Adobe Premiere.
- Arrange them on the timeline to ensure a smooth transition from the Unreal-rendered scene to the Cesium scene.
- Apply any necessary video editing, transitions, or effects to enhance the final product.
By following these steps, you can create a visually stunning animation that seamlessly combines the power of Twinmotion, Unreal, and Cesium, showcasing your architectural or design creations in an engaging way.
