Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that gives you three primary rights as a student:

    • You can inspect and review your education records.
    • You have some control over release or use of information.
    • You can ask the college to correct or change incorrect information.

The college notifies you of these rights and provides other information about access and disclosure of your records at the beginning of each quarter using your BC Email Address.

The college expects students and other members of our campus to use their rights and freedom responsibly. The Student Conduct Code of Bellevue College (WAC 132H-126) defines your rights and responsibilities. For more information visit the Bellevue College Student Care & Community Standards webpage

Student progress toward an academic or career readiness goal is the primary emphasis of
the Open Doors Youth Reengagement program. Indicators of academic progress (IAPs) are
the allowable items that the program uses to demonstrate effective service of students.
IAPs must be recorded and documented by programs in order for programs to claim
apportionment. There is a total of 15 IAPs.
