Biography:

Kelly O’Neill is a master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Seattle University. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology and spent 10 years working with young adults in AmeriCorps environmental conservation programs. As an AmeriCorps alumnus, she developed expertise in personal and professional development, relational support, and group dynamics. Her time spent with diverse work crews in remote wilderness settings greatly informs her approach to counseling.

As a counselor she focuses on developing a safe and supportive relationship with her clients. Based in relational-cultural therapy and ecopsychology, she believes relationships to people and place are complex, and she is passionate about helping her clients build meaningful connections to themselves and others. She is interested in the diversity of human experience and takes a collaborative approach to understand each client’s strengths and innate resources.

Kelly looks forward to working with the students at Bellevue College. She recognizes the opportunity and challenge that lies within the academic experience, and she is eager to support students on their journey.
